Someone landed on my blog by searching for "what are some positive things about people living with Down syndrome" - here are some positive things; along with a story about my daughter and what happened after someone pushed another girl on the bus.
For now, my daughter can use her height over her younger brother. I secretly like that she does this because it won't be long before he's taller than her.
It feels like we've been trying forever to get my daughter to ride a bike ... she's finally doing it ... when she was ready, or course!
Most of the pencils in our house are lacking erasers; and it's not because they were worn down with use.
Advocating for your child to be the first one in her school to have an inclusive education sure can be hard.
