I waited 12 long years for a kitchen re-do. Finally I had my plan. We weould tear out everything, even changing windows and doors, for my dream kitchen.
You can paint laminated cabinets or black laquered furniture if you use the right primer. I turned my stark and shiny black cabinet into something a bit more cottage beach house style, because I couldn't afford to go buy new. I also did not want to deal with tearing this off the wall, the previous owners had it screwed into.
