Sewing Curved Seams by Hand

Stitching Curves by Hand

Stitching curves by hand is easy, because you can maintain precise control of the fabric pieces. Typically, with curved pieces, you’ll be joining two separate shapes: a convex curve (bows outward) with a concave curve (bows inward). As with other hand piecing, transfer the seam lines, matching points, and center points from the templates to the fabric pieces, and do not stitch into seam allowances.
