Easy-Sew Window Treatment Ideas

Better Homes and Gardens Decorating

Measure the interior of your window frame and cut a rectangle of fabric 3/4-inch larger on all edges. Finish the bottom and two side edges with a 3/4-inch hem. Fold the top edge over. Stitch to create a 3/4-inch rod pocket. Insert a tension rod and hang. For the tieback, cut coordinating wide and narrow ribbons two times the height of the window. Topstitch ribbons together. Repeat to make a second tieback. Thread tiebacks over the top of the curtain and tie at the desired height.
