That delicious Thanksgiving feast is now a fond memory. However, half of the massive turkey and a mound of other leftovers remain. What are you going to do with all this food? You're going to need some leftover Thanksgiving turkey recipes to get everyone excited about eating another round of turkey tomorrow.
One of the easiest turkey recipes to make is a hot turkey sandwich. You'll need a sub roll, mayonnaise, several nice slices of turkey, some turkey gravy, a scoop of stuffing and some cranberry relish or jelly. Heat up the leftovers. While you are waiting for them to heat, slice the roll open and apply some low fat mayonnaise to one side. Add the turkey, stuffing and cranberries to the roll and pour some gravy on top. Your sandwich is ready to go as is, although some people prefer to add lettuce and tomatoes before they chow down.
Another great way to use up that leftover turkey is in a hearty soup. While traditional turkey soup is delicious, you may prefer a heartier alternative, such as turkey chili. Pull out your favorite chili recipe, substitute cubed turkey for the ground beef you usually use and prepare the rest of the recipe as you usually would.
