This year you and your children are celebrating your very first Kwanzaa and you want everything to be perfect. Since a large part of the holiday is all the delicious Kwanzaa recipes, you are hoping to find some great kid friendly food ideas.
Actually, there are many great recipes for Kwanzaa that have kid appeal. Keep in mind that food ideas for your Kwanzaa menu do not all need to come from Africa. In fact, since Kwanzaa is meant as a way to bring the scattered people of the African nations together, you can look for recipes from anywhere that African people were forced to come to as slaves. This means that your menu can include recipes like Chicarrones de Pollo, which is simply fried chicken from the Dominican Republic, or West African meatloaf, which is very similar to traditional meatloaf.
Other recipes, like peanut butter and sweet potato soup, may not be things your children usually eat, but contain favorite ingredients that may convince them to give these less familiar dishes a try.
