Annuals Add Color

annuals

Annuals are a quick, budget-friendly way to add a splash of color to your garden. These are the brightly-colored flowers in the garden that give that “wow” factor over the entire summer. They grow in the spring and summer and survive for just one growing season, hence their name. Even though they only survive one growing season, they tend to have a longer season of bloom than perennials.

Annuals are usually inexpensive and easy to grow which accounts for their popularity. Some of the most popular types of annual flowers are begonias, geraniums, marigolds and impatiens. Begonias are extremely versatile, growing in a variety of conditions, from full sun to shady areas. Geraniums and marigolds grow best in full sun. If you are looking for the perfect flower to plant in a less sunny area of your garden, go with impatiens as they thrive in partial shade.
