There is talk of an organic garden being planted on the White House grounds. That’s the dream of some prominent gardeners and chefs. If you are considering planting an organic garden for you humble abode, it is not as difficult as it might seem. The most crucial aspect of organic gardening is the soil. If at all possible, find a spot in your yard that has not had a conventionally grown (with chemicals) garden before as this is the optimal growing environment for all things organic.
Of course, if the only available land you can dedicate to gardening is one that has previously been treated with chemicals, go ahead and plant your organic garden there. Eventually the chemicals will dissipate from the soil. Finally, be sure that any chemicals used in the rest of the yard (like for the grass) do not make their way to your organic garden.
