One of the most popular DIY projects is installing hardwood flooring. The most important thing to remember is that the first board you lay acts as the foundation for the entire floor. If it’s even slightly off, the rest of the boards will grow more and more off-kilter. To ensure the accuracy of your home improvement project, do a “dry run” before you start nailing the boards down. That way, you can plan where each piece of wood will lay and identify any need for resizing.
You should also get plenty of practice before beginning the finishing process, as the finish is one of the crucial factors in the appearance of your new floor.
