Faith of My Mother
I realize that writing about my mom in honor of Mother’s Day a full five days after
Mother’s Day is kind of like buying long-stem roses a week after
Valentine’s Day when they’re wilted and on sale for half price.
But, one of the many fabulous things about my mother is that she would be happy with flowers any old time—and even happier if she knew that I scored them for a bargain and managed to avoid the “hallmark holiday” hype.
So mom, this post is for wonderful—no frills—you. Sorry it took me so long.
