I know that many people believe that adoption is a joyous and a
wonderful thing, and it is. But if you think deeply about the topic, it
makes sense that one person’s happiness was the result of someone
else’s loss.
I'm starting this series of posts with the women who suffered the first
loss, my children’s birth mothers. When adoptions are “closed
adoptions,” as mine was, it is often times difficult to even think about
the circumstances of your child’s birth mother.
